Breakfast Meatza
Yields 8
I love this recipe. It's fantastic for a protein packed breakfast that is sure to tide you and your family through the morning. It's perfect paired with some roasted butternut squash too! We often end up eating it for dinner during the week especially on busy nights!

Ingredients
  1. 1 pound of grass-fed ground bison
  2. 6 peeled Roma tomatoes or 1-14 ounce can of diced tomatoes
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1 green bell pepper
  5. 2-3 cloves of garlic
  6. 2 pastured eggs
  7. 1 cup of almond flour
  8. 2 tbsp dried oregano
  9. ½ tbsp. sea salt
  10. 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  2. Combine all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix well with your hands to make sure it is evenly distributed
  3. Put the mixture into a oven-proof skillet (I use a cast iron skillet and line it with parchment paper for easy clean up) and bake for one hour
  4. Slice like a pie once cooled and enjoy throughout the week!
Great tip
  1. Add a fried egg on top of a meatza slice for more deliciousness!
